Somerset House today announces the launch of its first ever day delegate rate packages for conferencing events at the iconic central London venue.
The new packages allow conference guests access to the unique and versatile Portico Rooms surrounded by the impressive backdrop of Somerset House – a leading centre for contemporary culture in an exceptional historical setting.
With a capacity of 100 theatre style or 56 cabaret, The Portico Rooms offer conference guests spectacular views of Somerset House’s fountains and courtyard on one side and the River Thames on the other. Four additional spaces are provided within the room layout, allowing for flexibility with breakout sessions.
The package includes exclusive hire of The Portico Rooms as well as access to the majestic Navy Board Room for catering. Also included in the hire are state-of-the-art LCD screens, laptop, PA system, lectern and microphones, WIFI, catering and a dedicated AV technician for the duration of the event.
Clients will be provided with an experienced Event Planner who will take care of every detail required for a conference, from arranging the catering to making sure the AV is set up and ready for guest arrival.
Catering choices include a luxury sandwich menu, fork buffet menu or canapé and bowl food menu, all available within the cost of the three packages. Conference organisers can also add a post-conference drinks and canapé reception held in the Navy Board Rooms for an additional cost.
As a further enhancement for conference guests, historical tours around Somerset House can be arranged or tickets to one of its diverse and dynamic exhibitions.
Kara Clark, Co-Head of Corporate Events at Somerset House, comments: “We are delighted to be able to launch day delegate rate packages for conferencing events at Somerset House for the first time ever. The Events team at Somerset House has worked hard with its accredited AV supplier, Broadsword Event House, and onsite caterer, Tom’s Kitchen, to design packages which are both affordable and versatile for conferences. We wanted to ensure that these packages offer not only great value for money but also include everything that a conference organiser needs for a successful day.”
“We are sure that delegates will be inspired by the beautiful surroundings and creativity that goes on at Somerset House. We can now provide an extra special setting for small to medium sized conferences in central London, just a stone’s throw away from Covent Garden,” she adds.
